Hand turned Globe from Myrtle.  After turning this sphere, I drew 137 of the world's countries, then burned their outlines and filled with acrylic paints.  A paua shell from New Zealand has been inset designating the North Pole.  The stand is crafted from Cocobolo Rosewood ensuring the globe is rotating at the Earth's proper axis of 23-1/2 degrees.
