The patent pending, Made in the USA MultiRest™ XL is compatible with almost all lathe swing sizes from mini to 24" and everything in-between; with no additional hardware required, however this larger unit is really recommended for swing sizes 16" and larger. The base of the MultiRest™ XL; has independently adjustable spacer blocks that provide a secure fit on lathe beds with way sizes from 1” to 4.5” in width. Each of the four stock roller wheel assembly can be positioned anywhere around the ring to adjust the center position for a wide range of lathe sizes and part diameters.

The unique 2-piece design allows the MultiRest™ XL to be quickly opened while leaving the mounting base of the MultiRest™ XL still firmly attached to the lathe bed. This provides easy access when mounting or demounting parts or for sanding, shaping and other secondary operations. In addition, when separating the larger ring section from the MultiRest™ XL; the remaining smaller section becomes a bowl rest, providing solid support behind the work piece yet fully exposing the opposite side of the piece for exterior cutting operations.

The device’s large multi-ring structure creates great rigidity while keeping the tool’s weight to half that of a comparable full steel rest. High strength, laser cut steel and aircraft grade aluminum components assure the ultimate in strength and durability. Each of the MultiRest™ XL's bearing mounted, non-marring urethane wheels have a rigid internal ring to prevent sidewall flex, thus giving exceptional support while still being gentle on the work piece. The MultiRest™ XL; uses the same high strength industrial sealed bearings used in our time tested band saw upgrade guides, so they're not your typical skate wheel and bearing. The unit comes stock with 4 wheel assemblies, which is perfect for most tasks. These wheel assemblies can be positioned anywhere around the ring, and unlike any other steady rest on the market, you can add additional wheel assemblies as needed to give you any number of wheels around the ring (4, 6, 8 etc..) for additional support for larger pieces.

while the standard MultiRest™ accommodates pieces up to 16" diameter with a true center at 20”
