This vase was turned very thin from Alberta Paper Birch.  After turning, I draw the ribbons, cut away as required, add the piercing accents and air brush the interior with acrylic paints.  In this particular vase I have used a marbling technique to finish the exterior. 

All vases in this Marbled Series were turned using the Captive Boring Bar.  They range in size from 10 to 16 inches tall and 5 to 8 inches in diameter.
