Celestial Fall
This turning was chosen to represent the Edmonton Woodturners Guild in a challenge by the American Association of Woodturners for their 25th Anniversary.  The sphere was published in the "Turning 25" Book with the following description:

"I used silver birch, symbolic of the landmark Silver Anniversary we are honoured to celebrate this year.  The twenty-five carved maple leaves are of varying colours, reflecting 25 years of change within the turning community.  I chose maple as it represents the enduring strength of the AAW.  The celestial form allows for endless imagination, moving us forward towards new adventures in woodturning."

It was a true honour to be chosen by my peers to have my work displayed at their Symposium and subsequently published in the anniversary keepsake.
